It took a long time for us to get a proper adaptation of The Punisher, but Netflix finally managed to crack the character with their excellent series starring Jon Bernthal. One of the earlier attempts at bringing Frank Castle to our screens is now finding some new life, though. And coincidentally, it’s happening on the aforementioned streamer.
Dolph Lundgren’s 1989 film The Punisher has appeared on the Netflix most-watched movies list today, coming in at #21 and moving up a whopping 32 points since yesterday. It’s obviously nowhere near as good as Bernthal’s show, or even the Thomas Jane effort, but for fans of the character, this Marvel pic might be worth checking out. If for no other reason than to see how far he’s come.
