A painfully dull and totally unenjoyable thriller has inexplicably found a new audience on Netflix.
We’re talking about Ruby Rose and Morgan Freeman’s 2021 effort Vanquish, which follows a “mother trying to put her dark past as a Russian drug courier behind her when a retired cop forces her to do his bidding by holding her daughter hostage.” With a 5% on Rotten Tomatoes, this actioner is just as bad as the critics say it is and has absolutely zero redeeming features.
Over on Netflix, though, it’s currently the 88th most popular movie worldwide. And while there’s no telling why that is, there is one thing you can be sure of. And that’s that millions of subscribers are no doubt wondering why they wasted their time on this one.
