Tom Hanks is usually a pretty reliable actor and rarely makes a bad film, but The Da Vinci Code is certainly not his finest work.
Based on the wildly popular novel and starring a very solid cast (Audrey Tatou, Paul Bettany, Ian McKellen, Alfred Molina, Jean Reno, etc.) it had all the ingredients to be a major hit, but the end product was a dull and bloated journey that failed to muster up much excitement in viewers.
Over on Netflix, though, it’s now getting a second chance at success as it quickly climbs the most-watched list. Currently, it’s at #67 and having jumped up 31 spots, it looks like this Tom Hanks dud could be on its way to the upper echelons of the chart.
