Hot off the success of Squid Game comes Hellbound, another South Korean series that’s begun to take Netflix users by storm. Equally as dark and probably even more violent, it revolves around people who receive predictions on when they’ll die and when their time comes, a death angel appears and brutally kills them.
It’s grim and definitely for mature audiences, but like Squid Game before it, it’s now blowing up on Netflix. At the time of writing it’s the #1 TV show on the platform’s worldwide chart. And in the US, it’s in third, behind only Cowboy Bebop and Tiger King 2.
In other words, it’s another major hit for Netflix and you can bet we’ll be seeing more of Hellbound in the future.
