We always knew Spiderhead was going to be a big hit for Netflix and sure enough, it’s the #1 movie on the platform today worldwide.
Chris Hemsworth‘s latest effort for the streaming service may be a far cry from Extraction, but it’s still going over very, very well with subscribers. The thriller takes place in the near future, “where convicts are offered the chance to volunteer as medical subjects to shorten their sentence. However, one such subject for a new drug capable of generating feelings of love begins questioning the reality of his emotions.”
So, as we said, not an all-out over-the-top action extravaganza like Extraction was, but it’s winning over critics and viewers regardless and should ensure that Chris Hemsworth and Netflix remain partners for a while yet.
