Spiderhead hit Netflix last Friday and went down pretty well with both subscribers and critics, and while it held onto the #1 spot on the most-watched chart for several days, it’s already been dethroned.
As of today, The Man from Toronto is the most-viewed film on the platform, with the fresh Kevin Hart/Woody Harrelson pic gobbling up viewers’ attention this weekend. Plot-wise, it tells the tale of a case of mistaken identity, where “the world’s deadliest assassin, known as the Man from Toronto, and a New York City screw-up are forced to team up after being confused for each other at an Airbnb.”
It hasn’t received the strongest reviews and is hardly either of the aforementioned actors’ best work, but it’s exactly the kind of harmless entertainment that makes for a perfect weekend watch on Netflix. And it seems many people agree with that sentiment.
