A forgotten Jack Black movie is making a big comeback on Netflix this week, with The Holiday jumping up 29 places on the most-watched films list to land firmly in 25th place.
Though Black is usually a solid draw for comedies, this particular one didn’t do too well unfortunately. With a 47% on Rotten Tomatoes, the rom-com was quickly forgotten about, but for some reason, subscribers seem to be loving it.
The story follows two women – Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet – who swap homes at Christmas and find romance with new men – Jack Black and Jude Law. As far as rom-coms go, it’s really nothing special, but there’s clearly something about it that’s drawing in Netflix users right now.
