It’s no secret that Jennifer Lawrence didn’t have the best time making Don’t Look Up. Indeed, she’s already shared a few stories that involve swallowing nose rings and loosing a tooth, and now she’s called 1 day in particular the worst of her life.
It happened during the scene where we see her rapping along to the Wu-Tang Clan, which required the star to memorize the group’s “Ain’t Nuthing ta F’ Wit,” which took her a couple of weeks. But when it came time to actually shoot the scene, Lawrence found it “horrifying.”
Here’s how she explained it:
“Because something happened with COVID, that ended up being my very first scene. It was horrifying, because I’m in this huge hanger, and it’s so quiet. And I don’t know anybody, and I had to rap Wu-Tang Clan. It was just horrendous. And then what’s in the movie is like, five seconds. I really wish I had known that [That day was] the worst day of my life,” she said.
If you’ve seen the movie, you’ll know that Lawrence nailed the scene and Don’t Look Up itself has ended up becoming a huge hit for Netflix, with the star-studded comedy now the #1 most-watched film on the platform worldwide. So it looks like all of the actress’ struggles while making it paid off.
