Of all the deaths on Money Heist, Nairobi’s was one of the hardest for fans to swallow. But it sounds like the showrunners had a good reason for killing her off.
Executive producer and director Jesús Colmenar has explained that because of her personality, she just wasn’t cut out for what went down in the final season.
“Nairobi’s personality was not cut [out] for the war we find in this final season, so she wasn’t supposed to be here. She wasn’t cut [out] for that,” he said.

Continuing on, he shared:
“And I think that this adds momentum to our characters that would be complex to add otherwise. We kill our characters, and I think it adds tension, and it’s a good thing not to be able to know who will be killed and what will happen.”
