Tokyo’s death in Money Heist was tough for fans to swallow, and it seems it was just as tough for the cast, too.
Star Miguel Herrán, who plays Rio, says that it messed him up big time. Speaking in a recent interview, he shared the following:
“On the day we shot the scene where Tokyo dies, I felt so messed up. I couldn’t look anyone in the eye, or I would start crying.”
We imagine it was difficult for Herrán’s co-stars as well, given that Tokyo and actress Úrsula Corberó has been with Money Heist right from the start and was the main character. But her journey is now complete, as is the show’s, and we can only hope that Herrán is feeling more at peace with it these days.
