Well, this comes as a surprise.
After only a single season, Netflix has pulled the plug on Cowboy Bebop, choosing to cancel the new series. We say it’s surprising because the project was heavily hyped before its release and the streamer no doubt had very big plans to turn it into a franchise, given that the anime it’s based on has a massive and passionate fanbase.
But reviewers weren’t kind to the show and the viewing figures after its first week weren’t terribly impressive, either. Meaning that this new stab at Cowboy Bebop is now a one-and-done affair.
