Squid Game was a gigantic hit for Netflix, but the streamer has still yet to officially renew it for a second season.
Reports spread like wildfire a few weeks back when the show’s creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk, said that another run was happening, but it seems that he was misunderstood. That’s right, there was apparently a mistranslation with his quote as Netflix has confirmed today that Season 2 isn’t official yet.
That being said, the streamer did say that discussions for another round of Squid Game are ongoing and with any luck, they’ll announce it sooner rather than later.
