Netflix has another hit on their hands, it seems, starting off the New Year on a high.
The film in question is The Lost Daughter, which is currently chasing an elusive 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Right now, it sits at 96% with 157 reviews, and with more sure to roll in, it might just hit that perfect mark.
Directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal, the movie features a brilliant cast led by Olivia Colman (The Crown) and tells the ambitious story of a woman’s beach vacation taking “a dark turn when she begins to confront the troubles of her past.” It’s gripping, emotional and not always the easiest watch, but the critics love it. And so do audiences, as The Lost Daughter currently sits at #2 on the most-watched films list in the US.
