We already know that Simone Ashley won’t be returning for Sex Education Season 4 and now another actress has confirmed their departure.
Patricia Allison, who plays Ola on the hit series, won’t be back, either, as she’s revealed that “other opportunities” have arisen which have gotten in the way of her return.
“I absolutely have loved being on Sex Education so so much and playing Ola. But unfortunately, I won’t be joining the team for season 4. So sorry to have to break that to you guys. But I’m just going to be doing some other little things, some other opportunities have come up.”
Continuing on, she said:
So, I’ve been doing it for three years, and I’ve genuinely loved it. I love the show. I have to, you guess, I have to say goodbye at some time. But other things are coming! Other things are coming, and that’s really exciting.”
Given Ola’s major role on Sex Education, this definitely comes as a bit of a surprise. But actors and actresses move on from TV shows all the time and considering that we’ve probably only got 1 or 2 more seasons left of this series, maybe she felt that there were other career avenues which were more important to pursue right now.
