Squid Game is a very violent show and doesn’t hold back, which is fine by us. But many have taken issue with just how violent it is, and if you find yourself in that camp, know that creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has a reason for why he made it the way he did.
“Violence in the show looks very lifelike, but it is figurative and allegorical. It mirrors people who run into a dead end after failing to survive the competitive society,” he said.

Continuing on, he shared:
“If there are teenagers who watched this show, we can discuss current issues of our society with them. I hope parents tell their children that the violent scenes have their own message in the show.”
Fair enough, and if you thought season 1 of Squid Game pushed things to the extreme, just wait until the next run.
