Stranger Things 4 killed off a couple of beloved characters, much to the dismay of fans, and it turns out that the creators wanted to take 1 more life as well, but ultimately decided against it.
Matt and Ross Duffer recently sat down with Collider and revealed that Enzo/Dimitri was originally going to be killed, too.
“In terms of who makes it, who lives or dies. I think there was a version where Dimitri, AKA Enzo, didn’t make it,” they said. “Then he ended up making it. But that’s [the most] radical of a departure from the original idea versus what we ended up with.”
Of course, that particular death may not’ve hit as hard as someone like Eddie, but it just goes to show that Stranger Things isn’t afraid to kill its cast off and with the final season just around the corner, you have to wonder who else might be meeting their maker soon.
