Stranger Things 4 brought us a whole bunch of surprises, including the death of Eddie Munson.
Yes, sadly the beloved character met his maker and perhaps even sadder than that is that he’s not coming back. Creators Matt and Ross Duffer have revealed that he’s definitely gone for good and fans shouldn’t expect a return.
When asked by Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast if this was it for Eddie, they said:
Matt Duffer: Yes.
Ross Duffer: Sadly, yeah.
Of course, they could be lying to keep the surprise of any shocking comeback in Season 5, but it does indeed seem like the character served his purpose and completed his arc on Stranger Things.
