Good reviews aren’t everything, and that’s especially true on Netflix.
The #1 movie in the world right now on the platform is Brazen, which has an embarrassing 15% on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics calling the mystery thriller “silly,” “a complete tonal misfire” and “terrible.” Plot-wise, it follows a woman who gets involved in the case of her murdered sister, despite the warning of a cool-headed detective not to.
It’s hardly the type of material that’ll linger in your mind after it’s done, but Brazen is still entertaining enough, apparently, to have Netflix users flocking to it in droves. We just don’t imagine too many people will feel very satisfied after watching it.
