The #1 movie on Netflix right now is not going down well with critics. And that’s an understatement.
Currently, Choose or Die sits at a horrible 28% on the review website, though the presence of star Asa Butterfield is probably enough to save it from fading into the oblivion on the platform, given that the actor’s Netflix series Sex Education is a major, major hit with subscribers.
As for Choose or Die, though, it’s a far cry from the aforementioned show, instead tackling the horror genre and telling the story of a young coder who “unleashes a hidden curse that tears reality apart, forcing her to make terrifying decisions and face deadly consequences.” Admittedly, it’s not a great movie and fails to hit the mark in most departments, but clearly Netflix users don’t care and just want more Asa Butterfield in their lives.
