The stories surrounding the production of Netflix’s Don’t Look Up are arguably more interesting than the movie itself.
From Jennifer Lawrence swallowing a nose ring and loosing a tooth to Leonardo DiCaprio almost freezing to death, the behind the scenes tales have been pretty amusing. And they just keep on coming, as Lawrence has now revealed that she got high during the shoot.
The moment in question is when her and Dr. Mindy finally get to speak with President Orlean about the comet they discovered. Because she didn’t have any major lines of dialogue, she asked director Adam McKay if she could get high for it and he allowed her to.
“So Jen was like, ‘Are you gonna throw me some improv?,’ which we always do,” McKay said. “And I was like, ‘No, you can get high.'”
Don’t Look Up is now streaming on Netflix, and you can bet that tons of subscribers will be rewatching the aforementioned scene with a new set of eyes after hearing this.
