David Corenswet, the actor playing Superman in the upcoming DC movies, has been seen in London. This sighting comes just as production is about to start for Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow in the UK.
While nothing is confirmed, Corenswet’s presence hints at a possible cameo in the Supergirl film. The story will follow Supergirl on a cosmic adventure with Krypto, her super-powered dog, which could explain why Superman might show up. James Gunn, the head of DC Studios, has previously mentioned that Krypto is a bit of a troublemaker, suggesting a storyline where Superman leaves Krypto in Supergirl’s care.
This isn’t the first time Superman and Supergirl will have interacted. Milly Alcock, who will be playing Supergirl, is also set to appear in the upcoming Superman film, indicating that the characters will already know each other. Although there’s a chance for Superman and Lobo to meet, considering Jason Momoa is playing Lobo, it’s more likely that Supergirl will be the one to encounter Lobo during her space adventure. Filming is taking place at Leavesden Studios, so we might see some leaked photos soon.
Gunn has praised Alcock’s casting, noting her talent and fit for the role as depicted in the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic. He highlighted that she can play a version of Supergirl shaped by a tougher upbringing compared to Superman. Directed by Craig Gillespie, this film is the second in the new DC Universe and is based on a screenplay by Ana Nogueira, who was originally meant to write a different Supergirl movie.

The plot includes Supergirl celebrating her 21st birthday with a galactic journey alongside Krypto, leading to an encounter with a young woman named Ruthye and a quest for revenge. The cast includes Eve Ridley as Ruthye, Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem, and Jason Momoa as Lobo. Gunn has made it clear that Supergirl’s character will be different from Superman’s, showcasing her tougher personality formed by a challenging childhood, in contrast to Superman’s background.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is scheduled to be released on June 26, 2026, adding to the growing DC Universe. We can expect more news and updates about the film in the coming weeks and months, especially regarding potential cameos and character connections.
