Robert Pattinson recently shared a little bit of news about the much-awaited sequel to The Batman. While promoting his new movie, Mickey-17, he recognized that fans are excited but admitted that he doesn’t have much solid information on the sequel’s development
He mentioned that there might be some changes to the design of the Batman cowl, particularly around the eyes. Right now, details about the sequel are hard to come by, leaving fans to rely on rumors and guesses for updates. The delay in making the film has sparked a lot of online chatter, including talks about Pattinson possibly joining the broader DC Universe.
In the same interview, Pattinson shared a funny story about his audition for The Batman. He talked about trying on different batsuits worn by other actors and noticed that each suit still held the scent of its previous wearer. He humorously commented that George Clooney’s scent was the most pleasant, which seemed a bit strange given how long ago the first movie was filmed.

Pattinson said, “When I did the audition for Batman I had to try on all the different cowls [from actors who’d played the role]. Even from 20 years ago, they all still had the scent of each individual actor. It’s kind of strange. I think probably Clooney smelt the best.”
The release date for the sequel is set for October 1, 2027. The long wait has built up a lot of excitement and speculation among fans who are eager for news about the film. The minimal information from the production team has led to intense discussions online, with many questions remaining about the plot, cast, and overall direction of the sequel. The ongoing mystery about its development adds to the excitement and anticipation among fans. More updates are likely to come as production continues, and the extended development period is certainly fueling buzz around the upcoming movie.
