Paramount+ brought us Yellowstone prequel 1883 this weekend and so far, it’s looking pretty promising.
Indeed, with new characters and an intriguing new plot to follow along with, it’s making for some quality TV, but if you’re wondering about the show’s narrator, in particular, and who it is that’s narrating the story, we’ve got the answer for you.
The narrator in 1883 is none other than Elsa Dutton, the eldest daughter of James and Margaret Dutton. And here’s why it’s smart for her to fill that role:
1883 is set during the Westward Expansion in America, which commenced in the aftermath of the Civil War,” explains The Cinemaholic.

Therefore, it is imperative that this story is narrated by someone who has experienced it first hand.”
