Prime Video announced the title of their new Lord of the Rings show yesterday and we now know that it’ll be called The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
Admittedly, it’s a clunky moniker that doesn’t exactly slide off the tongue, and fans aren’t too happy with it at the moment. Don’t believe us? Just see for yourself below:
I can't even get past the title. "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power".

The rings of power is an awful name but doing the title announcement completely practically gives me a lot of hope for the show

Someone paid someone big money to come up with the name "The Lord of the Rings – The Rings of Power".

They have been sitting on this property for literal *years* now and the BEST title they could come up with is "The Rings of Power"?

Amazon: "Hey, we got a title for our Lord of the Rings show! "THE RINGS OF POWER!"
Everyone else: wow, you really dove deep into the lore for that one, didn't ya.— Paul (@CastlerookBlogs) January 19, 2022
The LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RINGS OF POWER: a title so dumb Bezos had to have insisted upon it

look i'm not a marketing expert. but i feel like "THE RINGS OF POWER: A TALE OF MIDDLE EARTH" is so much cleaner

"The Rings of Power" makes it sound like some MCU garbage.

I am keeping open minded about the amazon show, but I genuinely cannot see LOTR: The Rings of Power without thinking about the terrible lotr sequel I wrote when I was 9

The Rings of Power? Sorry, I’m not really into Sonic the Hedgehog stuff.
