In a spine-chilling surprise, Cineverse, in collaboration with Bloody Disgusting, has announced the return of the unrated mega-slasher “Terrifier 2” to theaters across the nation, starting November 1. Just when you thought it was safe to go back into theaters, this announcement promises to extend the Halloween season well into November, bringing Art the Clown back to the big screen to celebrate the hit sequel’s one-year anniversary.
What makes this return to the big screen even more special is the promise of exclusive content. Audiences will be treated to a special introduction from the film’s creator, Damien Leone, as well as a never-before-seen teaser for “Terrifier 3,” both of which will be exclusive to theaters.
And that’s not all – on opening night, the first lucky 100 fans at each theater will receive an exclusive “Terrifier 3” poster. Given the extremely limited quantities available, fans are urged to arrive at the theater early to secure their collector’s item. Tickets for “Terrifier 2” are already on sale, and you can find them at popular outlets like Fandango, the official website, and Atom Tickets.

“Terrifier 2” initially hit theaters in October 2022 and left an indelible mark, raking in over $11 million in domestic box office sales. The sequel to the highly acclaimed slasher “Terrifier” was written and directed by Damien Leone, known for “All Hallow’s Eve.” It continued the horrifying saga of Art the Clown, portrayed by the talented David Howard Thornton, as he returned with a vengeance. The film also introduced Lauren LaVera as the breakout star and the new “Final Girl,” captivating audiences worldwide. Samantha Scaffidi reprised her role as Victoria Heyes, and horror icon Felissa Rose (of “Sleepaway Camp” fame) and professional wrestler Chris Jericho made unforgettable cameo appearances that had fans buzzing.
Director Damien Leone expressed his excitement about the re-release, stating, “This year has been unlike anything we could have imagined. To see all the love ‘Terrifier 2’ has received and the excitement this release has inspired from fans new and old is truly beyond words. As a thank you to our fans and the many people who worked tirelessly on this release, we want to bring it back to the big screen where it belongs. And more than that, while fans eagerly await the release of ‘Terrifier 3’ next year, we want the chance to share what we’ve been working on for the third installment because a year is just too long to wait.”
Brad Miska, Managing Director of Bloody Disgusting/Cineverse, added, “Terrifier 2’s return to theaters is the perfect farewell to the Halloween season, an event that will have audiences clinging onto their barf bags once again. This exemplifies the pinnacle of horror cinema, an experience that etches itself into memory. Between the exclusive ‘Terrifier 3’ scene that will only be shown in theaters and the exclusive poster, this is a night you won’t want to miss out on.”
“Terrifier 2” picks up one year after its predecessor and continues the gruesome story of Art the Clown and his insatiable thirst for murder. With a sinister force resurrecting Art, he once again terrorizes the unsuspecting residents of Miles County. Returning for another Halloween, Art sets his sights on a teenage girl and her little brother, portrayed by LaVera and Elliott Fullam, delivering a chilling and relentless tale of horror.
The film, produced by Dark Age Cinema and Fuzz on the Lens Productions, features an original score by Paul Wiley. It is produced by Phil Falcone, Steven Della Salla, Jason Leavy, and Michael Leavy. The list of executive producers includes Cairo Ben Amen II, Joshua Anderson, Steven Caruso, Lisa Falcone, Hank Greenberg, Marcus McGill, Larry Bilello, Steven Barton, and Thomas Smith.
So mark your calendars, horror aficionados, because this November, Art the Clown is back, and the terror is returning to the big screen with “Terrifier 2.” Don’t miss out on this horrifyingly thrilling anniversary celebration!
