Moon Knight’s Suit Hieroglyphs Have Been Decoded

The hieroglyphs on Moon Knight’s suit in his Disney Plus show have now been decoded, and here’s what they mean.

Moon Knight Thumb

While you may think that the hieroglyphs seen on Moon Knight‘s suit in the new Disney Plus show are simply there for style points, that couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, they actually spell out certain phrases and according to costume designer Meghan Kasperlik, the suit contains the oath of Khonshu.

“‘Rise and live again as my fist of vengeance. My Moon Knight,’ That is in the hieroglyph in the trouser,” she said. “On Mr. Knight, the Easter egg in that is that the buttons on the waistcoat are custom buttons that are Khonshu’s symbol. I had a metalsmith in-house that was making all of those.”

Pretty neat, right? Of course, that’s not the only Easter Egg we’ve seen so far in Moon Knight and we’re sure we’ll get a few more as well before the series closes out its first season.
