It turns out that we may’ve gotten a tease for Moon Knight‘s MCU debut back in WandaVision if things had gone according to plan.
Marvel’s Art of WandaVision has brought us plenty of interesting insights into the show since the book released and one of them is that Vision’s magic box from episode 2 of the series almost set up the aforementioned hero. As ScreenRant explains, “some alternate designs for Vision’s magic box include an unnamed figure dressed in all white and holding a staff with a crescent moon on the top. The hooded figure has plenty of similarities to Moon Knight, which could indicate that WandaVision episode 2 considered referencing him with Vision’s disappearing box for his magic act.”

Of course, we don’t know if Moon Knight was indeed the direct inspiration here, but he certainly looks quite similar to this design and it’s a shame that this sly little tease for the hero didn’t make the cut.
